Baylor, on a four-tournament winning streak, tops first WGCA Division I coaches poll of spring

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has released its first spring coaches poll and it’s no surprise to see Baylor at the top.

The Bears opened the spring season at the No. 1 spot, receiving 17 first-place votes, after winning the Trinity Forest Invitational at the start of the month. It was Baylor’s first win of the spring, following three fall titles.

South Carolina received two first-place votes to finish at No. 2 after winning the Moon Golf Invitational this week and LSU and Virginia, the teams that finished second and third to South Carolina at Moon Golf, came in at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
