Guilford hangs on to the top spot in the in the Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll, edging out Methodist seven first-place votes to six and 389 overall points to 383. But it’s enough for a second-straight stop atop the polls.
The Quakers, led by senior James Mishoe, finished third in their final regular-season event, the Wynlakes Spring Invitational.
Last time, Guilford ended Illinois Wesleyan’s run as the top-ranked team in Div. III. IWU was No. 1 for eight polls.
Huntingdon, Emory and Illinois Wesleyan, which received a first-place vote, round out the top five. Piedmont, which checks in at No. 6, garnered two first-place votes. Wittenberg made the biggest move, going up nine spots from No. 21 to No. 12.
