Men’s college golf team of the week: Florida A&M Rattlers

By simply reading the leaderboard at the men’s 2021 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championship, you’d think Florida A&M were a dynasty back to defend multiple titles.

In reality, the Rattlers were just making program history.

Florida A&M swept the team and individual titles at the MEAC Championship, with four Rattlers finishing inside the top-five to win the program’s first-ever conference title by an astounding 19 shots.

Senior Ethan Magnum led wire-to-wire to finish atop the individual leaderboard at 4 over, four shots clear of North Carolina A&T’s Diego Gonzalez.

“We just made history for FAMU. I’m just excited for our guys, it’s truly all about them,” said head coach Mike Rice. “They worked extremely hard for this moment over the past three to four years and I couldn’t be any prouder of what they’ve accomplished this season.”
