John Daly turned 55 on Wednesday.
Born April 28, 1966, Daly stunned the golf world when he went from being the ninth alternate to winning the PGA Championship in 1991 at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana.
He would win five times on the PGA Tour, adding another major in 1995 at the British Open at the Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland.
Diagnosed with bladder cancer seven months ago, he continues to play on the PGA Tour Champions. In fact, the fan-favorite will tee it up for the 82nd time at a Champions event this week at the Insperity Invitational in Texas, site of his lone senior circuit win in 2017.
He’s had a heck of ride, to say the least. Here are some photos of Daly through the years.
