Finland’s Kalle Samooja shot a 5-under 66 to work into a tie with 36-hole leader Nicolai von Dellingshausen after Saturday’s third round of the European Tour’s Tenerife Open at Golf Costa Adeje on the Canary Islands.
Samooja carded one bogey, but added a half-dozen birdies to catch Von Dellingshausen, who started the day with a three-stroke edge.
A pair of Americans — USC product Sean Crocker and John Catlin from the University of New Mexico — are both three shots behind Samooja and Von Dellingshausen, a pair of players both looking for their first Euro Tour title.
Dean Burmester is one off the lead while Yikeun Chang, Sebastián García, and Adrian Meronk are all two back heading into Sunday’s final round.
