SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — After three rounds of play at the challenging Raptor course at Grayhawk Golf Club, it’s time for the first cut.
Early Monday morning Georgia Tech defeated TCU in a five-player playoff to secure the last team position for the final round of stroke play at the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship. The field was cut from 30 teams to 15 for Monday’s final stroke-play round.
The top-nine individuals not on an advancing also advanced and will tee it up with a shot at a national title. The individual national champion will be crowned after Monday’s round, and the top-eight teams will advance to match play on Tuesday.
