Stephen Curry releases his first golf line with Curry Brand

Professional basketball player and golf enthusiast Stephen Curry has released his first golf line known as the “Curry Brand,” with Under Armour.

Curry started this brand to encourage equity in the sport and to grow the game of golf. Coming from a sport mostly composed of Black players, Curry wanted to share his passion for golf where the Black community only makes up three percent of recreational golfers according to the National Golf Foundation.

The collection features seven pieces ranging from golf shoes, hats, polos, pants and quarter-zips. The men’s Curry Vanish Polo features Under Armour’s Microthread Fabric which is designed to dry fast, doesn’t cling to you and has a 4-way stretch without absorbing sweat. The fabric is also recyclable making it environmentally friendly and has anti-odor technology to keep you smelling clean on and off the course.

Last month, Stephen Curry released a special hat during Masters week to honor Lee Elder and his historic contributions to the sport. Elder was one of the three starters this year at the tournament. Curry Brand created a limited edition 1975 hat to symbolize how much the sport has grown since Elder teed off as the first Black golfer to play Augusta National 46 years ago.
