Bandari and Sharks duel at Mbaraki

Struggling FKF Premier League sides Bandari FC and Kariobangi Sharks will face off later this afternoon at the Mbaraki Sports Club in a match both will be motivated to garner maximum points from. The two sides are currently limping in the FKF PL. Bandari hasn’t won in six outings: their last triumph came in February when they defeated Ulinzi Stars 2-0 at the Kericho Green Stadium.Kariobangi Sharks are equally finding the going tough as they have lost their last four outings. They are not only failing to win but also scoring has become a herculean task. Sharks have scored just three in their last seven games. This has coincided with top scorer Erick Kapaito’s goal-less run.The two teams recently suffered FKF Cup exits in the hands of Equity FC and Gor Mahia respectively and they trail the leading park in the league by some considerable points. The only realistic target for either side is ensuring that they secure a good finish in the FKF Premier League and plan better for next season’s campaign and the Mbaraki clash is one for either side to kick start its resuscitation.👉 Ijumaa ya Baraka! After not winning for long, the confidence tends to go down and we are working to ensure that we get an important result. They (Sharks) also want a win just like as us and we expect a closely fought match,” he told Mozzart Sport.Last five meetingsKariobangi Sharks 0-1 Bandari FCBandari FC 1-0 Kariobangi SharksKariobangi Sharks 1-0 Bandari FCBandari FC 1-0 Kariobangi SharksKariobangi Sharks 0-1 Bandari FCKey playersWilliam Wadri- He is Bandari’s top scorer this season with seven league goals. He is Sharks’ main man upfront and they will be relying on him to breach Bandari’s rearguard.James Mazembe-He leads the assists’ chart with eight. He is what Chetambe is to Bandari and for the likes of Kapaito to score, he will have to create opportunities for the attackers.Patillah Omoto-He will be returning from a one-match suspension. He sat out of the game against Tusker after accumulating five yellow cards. Patillah is an experienced midfielder and his availability for the match is a big boost for coach Muluya.
