Tepid Sofapaka seek revival against on song Ulinzi

Sofapaka will be gunning to return to their winning ways when they host on form Ulinzi Stars in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF PL) slated for Friday at the Utalii grounds. The 2009 league champions registered their ninth defeat of the season after bowing 1-0 to holders Gor Mahia in their last outing a result which complicated their plot to have a respectable finish.Sofapaka who were shot twice without a reply in the first leg have blown hot and cold this season with most of their wins coming at the Wundanyi Stadium. However, ahead of the match, coach Kennedy Odhiambo is convinced that his charges will rise to the occasion and register their second win in Nairobi.📀 | MATCHDAY 22🔛 | Today, Friday, June 25⚽️ | We take on @UlinziStarsFC 📍 | Utalii Grounds🕒 | Kick-Off: 3pm@betikaKe @OyandoRonny @Officialfkfpl #BatotoBaMungu pic.twitter.com/kabuzMlV1f— Sofapaka FC (@FC_Sofapaka) June 25, 2021 The former Bandari who has no injury concerns for the match poured cold water on a suggestion indicating that his boys did not enjoy sufficient rest unlike their opponents who last took to the pitch ten days ago. Sofapaka sit 12th with 23 points.“The biggest problem has been conceding goals. We have been scoring but always get punished for the avoidable defensive mistakes. We have rectified the mistakes and hopefully we will secure maximum points today. I can not complain much in terms of fixture congestion or fatigue as the players are seemingly getting used to playing back to back matches in a space of two to three days,” he said.Ulinzi who reaped a 3-1 win over Bandari in their last math will be seeking to bag their fourth successive win.
