We believed in each other and in our individual abilities and in the end we made history by winning the title unbeaten. My teammates have been of immense help and I wouldn’t have won the accolades I have without their input,” she said after the match. On her part, Benta Achieng who took over the team this season from Richard Kanyi says that the team focus brought them this far. “We knew they won’t be an easy side to beat as we have played numerous times against them and beating them three times in a season was not going to be easy. The two first half goals disoriented them and my players took advantage of that. I am happy for this win as it has put me on another coaching level. Coaching is mot all about the knowledge as I believe trusting in God to do it for us played a role in this journey. We remained focused, concentrated on what was important and worked as a unit for this,” said Achieng.
