The Mully Children’s Family (MCF) head coach Robert Arasa has appealed to the government to consider setting up a bubble for the National Super League teams drawn from the thirteen counties which were declared coronavirus hotspots.Arasa’s prayer comes two days after the eight clubs which were affected by the Ministry of Health pronouncement petitioned Football Kenya Federation to adjourn the competition in the interest of a level playing ground. The tactician argued that suspending sporting activities in the affected counties would reverse the gains teams had made as far as fitness levels and rhythm in the league are concerned.Ivan Anguyo has found a new lease of life at NSL side Mully Children’s Family (MCF) FC https://t.co/guRTmlKeJy— Mozzart Sport Kenya (@MozzartSportKe) March 16, 2021 Clubs within the region deemed as red zone have been barred from training as a unit as well as staging home matches but interestingly, are free to play competitive matches outside the Lake Region zone.” Football Kenya Federation should request the government to confine the teams in the affected zone in a bubble either in Nairobi or another city which has relatively low coronavirus positive cases. The continuity and integrity of the league is at risk as more than half a dozen teams have played fewer matches. Suspension of sporting activities is affecting teams financially and watering down the fitness levels of players in the red zone,” he said.Arasa in the meantime disclosed his plan to fire the league debutants back to winning ways after failing to collect maximum points in their last four outings.MCF who were shot twice by Kenya Police on Sunday have struggled to keep up with the promotion pace following their recent unwanted results but Arasa says he is keen to boost the motivation of the players.Congratulations MCF FC for being the Champions in round 4 of the National Super League. Many teams have been affected by the unpredictability by the fixtures department but we are getting used to it. I am hoping to inspire some hope to my players for we badly need to get back to the promotion bracket, ” he added.
