Kenyan midfielder Alywn Tera featured for Saburtalo Tbilisi in the 1-1 draw against Samgurali in the Georgian National League on Tuesday 29th June. Saburtalo squandered a chance to move into European places on the log as they dropped two points on the road against Samgurali as a win would have seen them move in the UEFA Conference League qualification slot.Tera was once again trusted with a start in the game for the sixth consecutive game as he has become a vital cog in the Saburtalo wheel since joining them back in December 2015.

Akaki Shulaia bagged his first goal of the season when he handed Saburtalo the lead after 18 minutes of play at the 26 May Stadium in Tsqaltubo.Samgurali settled well in the game and restored parity 10 minutes later courtesy of the boot of Sergo Kukhianidze who has been instrumental in the side, scoring three goals thus far this season.The goals dried up in the second half as both teams who were only separated by four points coming into the game remained content with picking up a point in the mid-table clash.

Tera was rested in the 84th minute as head coach Khvicha Shubitidze aimed to inject fresh legs into the game in pursuit of a smash and grab victory.Both teams however settled for a draw in the clash as Saburtalo pipped Dila Gori which is home to former Gor Mahia midfielder Amos Nondi to fourth on the log. Saburtalo will next face Torpedo Kutaisi on Sunday 4th July.
