Luwowo gives Abdalla Shira lifeline

Biashara United head coach Patrick Odhiambo is keen to reunite with former Gor Mahia right back Abdallah Shira in the forthcoming transfer window.Odhiambo joined the Tanzanian Premier League side in May filling in the space left by his compatriot Francis Baraza who ditched the Mara based club for Kagera Sugar.With the transfer window fast approaching, Odhiambo who is deputized by former Sony Sugar forward Marwa Chamberi has revealed his intentions of acquiring a right back.The former Chemelili Sugar tactician who will be seeking to sign at least four players in the window said he had settled on the highly rated Shira whom he previously worked with at Sony and briefly at Gor.Kakamega Homeboyz assistant coach Patrick Odhiambo joins Tanzanian side, Biashara United as head coach.He replaces compatriot Francis Baraza who left for Kagera Sugar.#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/i3uVHQTdvD— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) May 4, 2021 Shira joined Gor in August 2019 but unceremoniously left the club mid-season under unclear circumstances.Odhiambo also joined Gor in the same month to deputize Steven Polack and would later exit the club in January for Kakamega Homeboyz where he served as Nicholas Muyoti’s assistant before Biashara came calling.“I have identified Shira as my number one transfer target. We are in dire need of a modern day right back and I believe he will be the solution. The team is good but three signings will be enough to transform us from participants to title challengers,” he said.

Biashara who are placed fourth are set to play Mbeya City and Tanzania Prisons in their final rounds of the season.
