Joash Onyango and Farouk Shikhalo featured full minutes as Yanga SC beat Simba SC 1-0 in the Kariakoo Derby staged at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium to go to within three points of the reigning champions who have played two games less, halting Simba’s march to the trophy albeit momentarily.Wekundu wa Msimbazi conceded early in the first half and could not manage an equalizer, leave alone staging a comeback, despiting being the dominant side in the second half.Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan was in attendance as Yanga earned the bragging rights of the derby.Timu ya Wananchi took the lead early in the first half courtesy of Zawadi Mauya in the 12th minute and went on to hold onto that lead to full time.
