Kakamega Homeboyz have been forced to abandon their fortress, Bukhungu Stadium and host their home matches in Nakuru with head coach Nicholas Muyoti bemoaning the situation.The move came after the government suspended sporting activities in 13 Western counties due to a surge in Covid-19 cases in the region with Kakamega being part of the affected regions.Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Muyoti noted that the team has been forced to adapt to playing their home matches away from Bukhungu adding that the playing surface at the Nakuru Showground is not pristine.
