A man has been arrested after three individuals were found shot to death on a Georgia golf course last week.
Cobb County sheriff’s deputies and U.S. marshals announced the arrest of Bryan Rhoden Thursday, according to a report by the Associated Press, five days after the killings.
No further information on the arrest was immediately available nor was it clear what he was being charged with.
Police say golf pro Eugene Siller was shot when he went to find out why a truck had driven onto the 10th green at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, northwest of Atlanta. It was later reported that two other men were found dead from gunshot wounds in the bed of the truck.
Those two were identified by police as Henry Valdez, 46, of California, and Paul Pierson, 76, of Kansas. Pierson is listed as the owner of the truck.
Investigators say they don’t believe that Siller, 46, was targeted but rather that he was killed after he came upon a crime in progress. Investigators also say the two men found in the truck don’t appear to have any relation to the golf course. So far, investigators haven’t commented on any motives for their deaths.
A Go Fund Me page has been established to help the Siller family. The fund-raising goal of $500,000 has already been surpassed and as of Thursday evening, more than $654,000 has been raised.
