Western Stima head coach Abdalla Juma is happy to see winger Baron Oketch hit top form again and believes the former Gor Mahia forward can only get better. The speedster has been in great form in recent months. He has been scoring goals, assisting, and even winning penalties for his side as opponents struggle to contain the resurging forward who at one point had been written off. Coach Abdalla is happy to see his player rise again and he says the attacker’s hard work in training is paying off.”I must commend him for the good work that he has been doing in training because it is reflecting in his performance during league matches. Baron is a quality player and he knows it, his form had dipped but he is now coming up again, he will get even better,” he told Mozzart Sport.Round 7 Goals:Nzoia Sugar 1-1 Western StimaBaron OketchPeter GinRoster:Oketch ( 1 goal )Gin ( 1 goal )#FootKE pic.twitter.com/5yaBdl9NMC— Footballers Of Our Time (@TransferMarktEA) January 11, 2021 Juma further praised Oketch’s attitude. According to him, the player has been willing to work and improve himself, he believes he can improve even further.“His attitude has been good and he has been willing to work and improve himself. When the urge and desire to improve comes from the player himself and not the coach then things become easy, I am really happy to see him rise again and I believe that he can only get better. He has been one of my best players this season,” he added. In 2016, Oketch was touted as one of the best young talents in the country. A good run with Stima earned him a move to Gor Mahia in June 2016. He, however, failed to live up to expectations and in January 2017 he was shipped out to Ulinzi Stars where he equally lasted for half a season.FT: Kariobangi Sharks 2️⃣ – 2️⃣ Western StimaBaron Oketch and Rodgers Odhiambo’s goals cancel out Erick Kapaito’s brace to ensure the spoils are shared#FKPL #BKPL #WeAreSharks #StimaNiMoja pic.twitter.com/gNPHdtItzS— Tisini (@TisiniSports) July 5, 2021 In June 2017 he left the military outfit for Mombasa-based FKF Premier League side, Bandari FC where he lasted for half a season before moving to the now-defunct, Ushuru FC in January 2018.
