Youthful Bandari holding midfielder Dennis Magige believes that the consistent playing time he has been enjoying in the recent weeks is a true testament to the fact that hard work pays. Magige won coach Andre Casa Mbungo’s trust in his maiden league start for the club last month and has since established himself as a key player in the starting team ahead of the experienced Collins Agade. The hard tackling midfielder joined Bandari Youth in 2017 after clearing his studies at Kathungi Boys High School and was elevated to the senior team the following year. The competition for playing time earned him a loan move to National Super League side Coast Stima where he plied his trade until the start of the season when he was recalled. The midfielder says he has broke sweat to convince the Rwandese coach that he deserves to play regularly. “It has taken me hard work and patience to nail down playing time. The coach insists that he will only play those who work hard. He has been supporting me from the time he arrived at the club and I will keep the fire burning as a way of thanking him for his trust, “he said. Meanwhile, the club’s liaison officer Steven Heywood had confirmed that one of the Tanzanian giants are pursuing his services.Although he remained tight lipped on the identity of the club, whispers within Dar es Salaam indicate that he is likely to join record champions Yanga.”I have received an offer from one the biggest clubs in the Tanzanian Premier League. It came as a shock as I didn’t imagine that clubs outside the country monitor our pages. I am yet to discuss the offer with my bosses neither have I made up my mind on my next stop, ” he revealed. Heywood joined Bandari five years ago from the Football Kenya Federation Coast Branch communication team
