Rwandan Premier League champions, ARP are reportedly keen on signing Simba SC striker Meddie Kagere whose contract with Wekundu wa Msimazi expires at the end of the month.Kagere, who joined Simba in 2018 from Gor Mahia has been an important player for the league champions since he crossed over to Dar on the Bosman rule. This season however has been a difficult one for the Amavubi player and there have been rumors that the veteran striker could be heading out of the club.A recent public spat between Simba coach Didier Gomes da Rosa and Kagere’s agent Patrick Gakumba all pointed at Kagere not extending his contract. Gakumba accused da Rosa of declining to field Kagere over personal differences between the tactician and the football intermediary.Reports in Rwanda now indicate that APR are keen on signing Kagere so as to partner him with his national team strike partner, Jacques Tuyisenge. The two formed a feared partnership during their time at Police FC of Rwanda and Gor Mahia and APR are keen on recreating that. The team has been on a spending spree and Kagere is the missing piece in their arsenal. Can we talk about this goal by Simba Sports Club striker Meddie Kagere?
