Ulinzi Stars head coach Benjamin Nyangweso has revealed the secret behind the team’s good results in the last two matches, their only wins while playing at A.S.K Grounds, Nakuru. The Soldiers came from behind to bag all three points against a resilient Western Stima to pick up their second win in Nakuru, the first being an identical 2-1 win against Wazito FC.Nyangweso has lauded the turnaround, saying that it has been as a result of converting chances, something that was a problem in the games that they lost despite playing well.🚨Full time reactionWestern Stima FC 1-2 Ulinzi Stars FC✅ Earth a run red😎… pic.twitter.com/G7YbrTT7WY— Ulinzi Stars FC (@UlinziStarsFC) July 17, 2021 He also reserved praise for the team’s fighting spirit following a spectacular comeback against Western Stima after going down in the first half.”In the two games that we have won in Nakuru, we have converted our chances. In the games that we were losing, we were playing well but failed to convert our chances. The difference in these two games has been converting chances. Against Stima, we conceded early but we came back and won the game. The players have talked between themselves and have resolved to make sure they win, so credit to them,” Nyangweso said.Nyangweso also revealed that they had to fall back and restrategize after losing three consecutive games and conceding nine goals in the process, focusing more on defending and attack.”After conceding nine goals in three matches, we decided to focus on defending as well as on striking. I think they have improved from where we were and I hope they will continue with the same in the coming games,” the 2010 league-winning coach said. The coach however decried the fixtures congestion but noted they will continue giving their best with the available players, adding that they will be thorough when they face off with KCB in a midweek fixture despite the positional difference on the log.”It is not easy playing all these matches in short periods. I have fewer players, others are injured but there is no other way around it. KCB is a good team and they are at the top but we are equally good. We know we can play well and beat them,” Nyangweso finished.
