Bandari gunning for first win over Bidco United

Rugged Bandari captain Bernard Odhiambo is looking forward to skippering the club to its first Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF PL) win over Bidco United when the sides clash at the Thika Stadium on Tuesday. Bandari were forced to rally from a goal down to hold the league debutants to a one all draw in the first leg of the encounter, played at the Mbaraki Stadium in May.However, the experienced Odhiambo is hoping that their last week 1-0 win over Vihiga United will inspire them to cruise over the newbies and bag six points from their two-week stay in Nairobi. The defender who inherited the armband from Felly Mulumba last year observed that victory over the struggling Vihiga injected the much sought after winning mojo after going for three matches without picking maximum points.” Normally, our training sessions are always tough and it’s common to see players wear gloomy faces as they grapple with it. However, one could easily notice that there was some sense of good feeling in the camp after the Vihiga win and everyone enjoyed training. The players are motivated and have their eyes fixed on securing the three points, ” he said.

Bandari who held their final training session at the Ruaraka grounds on Monday evening will miss the services of their budding right back Swaleh Chacha who is with the Emerging Stars team in Ethiopia for the CECAFA tournament. As Bandari will be seeking their tenth win of the season, Bidco will keen to make good use of home advantage and floor the visitors and move to within the top ten bracket.Tomorrow we are at home against @BandariOfficial🏟️ Thika Municipal Stadium 🏆 BetKing Premier League 🕛 3 pm EAT#Ready4Whatever pic.twitter.com/q0yk888yX9— Bidco United (@BidcoUnited) July 19, 2021 Coach Anthony Akhulia who admitted that he will be missing up to four of his senior players due to injuries is hopeful of putting Bandari to the sword, missing players notwithstanding.”We are well prepared although we have been plaqued by injuries.
