The team better known as Emerging Stars opened their group stage matches with a 3-0 win over Djibouti and a win of any margin against South Sudan will be enough to see them advance to the knockout stage.Ahead of the game, Stars midfielder Vincent Wasambo who started in the opening match has cautioned his teammates against underrating their opponents who boast of having two players; Dani Lual and Saad Musa who ply their trade in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League. Wasambo said that their opponent were unpredictable and called on the team to put their best feet forward and book a place in the last four without much strain. Our #EmergingStars in their final training session before they meet South Sudan tomorrow pic.twitter.com/9cigFgYZN3— Harambee Stars (@Harambee__Stars) July 20, 2021 “This one will be much tougher than the opening match. The lanky striker who was on target when the U20 team Rising Stars squared it out with South Sudan last year said they were unperturbed by the underdog tag perched against their name. “Everyone is rooting for Kenya to prevail but we are equally apt to win the match. I have played with at least all the Kenyan players and I understand their game and their weaknesses. We are determined to kick off the tournament with a win,” he said.
