Relegation threatened Western Stima may be in all sorts of problems but beating AFC Leopards is non of them. Shipping their mojo over Ingwe from the Henry Omino era, a really feeble Stima with just three victories the entire season could not pass a 4th when the Leopards fixture popped up. And having been deep in the mix for the chop, three points arrogantly taken from Ingwe have given their survival fight a shot in the arm.Their jolly tactician Juma Abdallah says Tuesday’s eased their relegation fears but has warned that they need to keep winning the remaining matches to be safer.Stima completed the season’s double over a troubled AFC Leopards after picking a 3-2 win over Ingwe at the ASK Grounds in Nakuru. The win helped them open a six-point gap between them and bottom-placed Mathare United. In an interview, the experienced tactician said the win is important in easing the pressure but warned that they are not safe yet and they need to win more matches before the season comes to a close. He exuded confidence that they will finish in a good position.“The win has eased pressure although we are not out of the woods yet, we need to get more wins in the remaining matches so that we can move further towards safety. My team has gelled well, we are very motivated and I am confident that we will move up in the log before the season comes to an end,” he told Mozzart SportsFULL TIME Western Stima 3 AFC Leopards 2⚽️ Collins Shivachi ⚽️ Bonface Mukhekhe #OursForever #INGWE— AFC Leopards (@AFCLeopards) July 20, 2021 Reflecting on the win over Ingwe, Juma said he expected to beat the FKF Cup finalists as they currently have a depleted squad. Ingwe are currently missing most of their players due to contractual issues, injuries, and the ongoing Cecafa U23 champions where three of their players are part of the team representing the country in Ethiopia.“We had prepared well for the game and I was confident that we were going to win. Leopards are currently depleted, they are not as strong as they were at the start of the season and I knew that if we prepared well we would beat them easily. We planned well and I must laud my players for executing the plan perfectly,” he stated.Due to the suspension of sporting activities in Nyanza region, Stima are currently hosting their home games in Nakuru and the tactician admits the traveling is taking a toll on his team.“The journey is tiring because we play and travel back immediately but we have to cope with the situation until the end of the season, hopefully, next season we will be able to host our home matches in Kisumu,” he concluded.Next for Stima is a match against Vihiga United.
