Those plans were however disrupted half at the stroke of half an hour as 31-year-old Gustavo Bou struck for New England’s first of the match. The striker would once again wreak havoc to Montreal after he completed his brace in the 73rd minute to give his team some a needed cushion.Djordje Mihailovic halved the deficit for Montreal with eleven minutes to go but his strike was not enough to inspire his side to steal anything in the final minutes. Following the win, New England who have won their last three matches extended their stay at the top to seven points.

WambaniHanging in the relegation zone, Wambani’s Vasalunds side succumbed to their fourth straight defeat this season after falling 1-0 to second placed Varnamo in a league match played at Finnvedsvallen Stadium on Sunday evening.A solitary Oscar Johnson second half strike is all Varnamo needed to edge Vasalunds and compound their miseries. Following the loss, Wambani and his team find themselves among the teams with the least points in the league as they sit 14th on the log after twelve games played this season.
