Western Stima coach Abdallah Juma has bemoaned the loss to Vihiga United in their last outing and outlined the repercussions the 2-0 loss has had on his team.Juma said that losing against Vihiga who are below them on the log was not a good thing at all as it heaped more pressure on his team in their fight for survival, having in mind that Vihiga closed the gap to only one point between the two teams with just five games left for both teams. The tactician also noted that his backline had some defensive lapses in that game and that was the reason they conceded a very early goal that saw them chase the game.”Losing against them was not good at all. We wanted to go for the win but they also wanted to win the game. Now the pressure is more because the margin between them and us is very minimal. The defense had some lapses and that’s why we conceded but we will rectify them before our next game,” Juma said.⚽️|Vihiga United keep their survival hopes alive with five matches to play.Match Report 📩#VihigaUnited #WesternStima #BKPLhttps://t.co/6B2wtXbfzk— Mozzart Sport Kenya (@MozzartSportKe) July 25, 2021 The former Chemelil Sugar boss noted that his team did not play well and made a lot of mistakes more so in the early stages of the game.He also decried the slow start his team showed in that game, saying that it was not what he is used to seeing his team do as they are always off to a flying start and other teams have to come from behind in most cases.”We did not play well at all because if you look at that game you will see we made so many mistakes and lost concentration at the beginning. We did not start the game the way we always start. We start games on a high but we started that one at a very low pace and that’s why we lost. In most games, we have been scoring and other teams coming from behind, but against Vihiga we conceded very early,” the former AFC Leopards assistant coach noted.Matokeo Ligi Kuu nchini 🇰🇪.✅Kariobangi Sharks0-3 KCB✅Western Stima 0-2 Vihiga United✅Bandari 1-0 Posta Rangers ✅Sofapaka FC 1-2 Kakamega Homeboyz ✅Nzoia Sugar 2-2 AFC Leopards✅Wazito FC 2-1 Mathare United #FKFPremierLeague pic.twitter.com/QabZojnFyQ— Mozzart Bet Kenya (@mozzartbetkenya) July 25, 2021 On surviving relegation, Juma said that they are still hopeful as they have two home matches which they are hoping to play with full home advantage at Kisumu after covid restrictions are lifted by the government. But before that, he is hopeful that they will recover from the loss when they travel to face Bidco at Thika on Friday.”We are still hopeful because we have two home matches and I know we will play them at Kisumu after Covid restrictions are lifted. I am sure we are going to recover when we play Bidco at Thika because we cannot leave it that way, there has been a lot of pressure from everywhere,” Juma concluded.
