Football fans around the country reacted with bemusement and ridicule after Football Kenya Federation (FKF) unveiled an odd looking trophy for its top-flight division, the FKF Premier League.FKF canvassed to have the occasion on live television and heightened expectations among the popular game’s followers after waiting the entire season.The federation had earlier hyped the trophy as a 24 carat pure gold masterpiece sculpted in Dubai at a cost of Ksh5 million.The EURO trophy is currently valued at $15,000. One user on Twitter suggested the trophy was better suited for individual awards rather than the premier league. Others faulted the federation for being out of touch with football realities while others went personal with outright insults to Mwendwa.Another user thought the trophy was best for drama festival.
