Eric Gichimu scored the all important goal as Bidco United pilled more misery on Western Stima in a hotly contested match at Thika Stadium.Stima came into this game hoping to recover from the Vihiga defeat while Bidco were hoping to build on the hard fought win against Nairobi City Stars in their previous outing.Bidco had the chance to take the lead from the spot in the 24th minute after Stima’s Captain Patrick Kennedy Otieno was ruled to have handled the ball in the box.David Orem stepped forward to take the resultant kick but struck the post with the goalkeeper Richard Aimo well beaten.Anthony Akhulia’s charges controlled the game in the first half, though the tactician was not eligible on the technical bench for the game, and this relied on relaying his instructions through his assistants.Stima seemed unsettled throughout the half, and offered little threat to Bidco’s final third of the field.Alex Keke Juma was all over the right wing, sometimes switching to the left, and was terrific with his speed and quick feet. His efforts finally paid off when he set up Gichimu in the 45th minute. On resumption, Stima withdrew Edwin Odhiambo and brought in the attack minded Laban Otieno in search of that equalizing goal.Bidco could have doubled their lead in the 57th minute when Gichimu floated in a good ball into the area but Aimo was up to the task to keep out Orem’s header.Bidco effected their first change, bringing in Stephen Waruru for the goal scorer Gichimu who came off injured.Playing in injury time, Stima almost leveled the scores from a Michael Karamor long range effort but he was denied by the post.Stima gave their all in the second half but had nothing to show for it in the second half. The loss leaves Western Stima 15th on the log, with Bidco maintaining their position with 38 points.
