A brace from Jackson Dwang was all Posta Rangers needed to derail KCB’s march towards the golden trophy at Thika Stadium.KCB were hoping to use this game as another stepping stone towards the title challenge but Posta had other plans; avenging first leg deeds where they lost 3-0 on the opening day.For the first goal, Eliud Lokuwam unleashed a shot that Joseph Okoth, being in contention for the golden glove, should have gathered easily. However, it was not to be the case as Okoth fumbled woth it, letting the ball slip between his hands and his legs and Dwang did the easy job of tapping it in to give Posta the lead just 12 minutes in the game. That opening goal filled Posta with immense confidence, and they produced good football.10 minutes after the first goal, Lokuwam made another great run on the right before leaving Brian ‘Rio’ Ochieng on the floor injured from the bad things he was shown, and delivered a cutback for Dwang who thundered home his second to double Posta’s lead. With Ochieng’ injured, Zico was forced to bring Victor Ochami, forcing a positional change as well with Michael Oduor dropping deep to fill that void.On resumption, KCB came with the intent to cut the deficit and charge at least for a draw. The second half was KCB’s half but they could not find the back of the net.Putting all they had into it, Zedekiah Zico Otieno made a triple change of Simon Munala, Derrick Otanga, and David Owino for Henry Onyango, Curtis Wekesa and Dennis Odhiambo. The change added speed to KCB’s attack from all fronts, with Munala on the right,Otanga down through the middle, and Owino coming in from the leftback position.Korea responded by bringing Peter Ng’ang’a and Francis Nambute for Calvins Odongo and Dennis Oalo.Posta almost grabbed their third with 12 minutes left to play when substitute Namanda floated in a good ball but Lokuwam missed by inches with Okoth well beaten. To seal the game, Posta further brought in Joseph Mbugi and Clinton Kisiavuki for Joshua Nyatini and Lokuwam.Zico’s charges had the much of the ball in the second half, creating many chances but in the end it did not count. The win sees Posta got to 12th on the log with 31 points while KCB remain second with 54 points.
