Former Gor Mahia and Tusker FC midfielder Khalid Aucho has parted ways with Egyptian club, Misr-el-Makassa after the expiry of his two-year contract.The combative midfielder moved to Egypt in 2019 after impressing at the African Cup of nations with the Uganda Cranes. His stay in Egypt has been problematic and at one point he threatened to terminate his contract with the club over nonpayment of salary for a couple of months, the issue was hastily resolved and he continued with the club.After making just 13 appearances for the club this season, Aucho has resolved to leave the club for a new adventure. The player has been linked with a move to Tanzanian giants, Simba SC.“Thank you, a lot, for everything and to my fans, I will let you know my next destination soon, love you all, “he added.Aucho thrived in the Kenyan Premier League before he left in 2016. He started out with Tusker FC in 2013 and stayed at the club for two seasons before leaving for Gor Mahia as a free agent. It is at Gor that he thrived as he was part of the team that won the 2015 league title unbeaten, the team also reached the Cecafa Kagame Cup final where they went down 2-0 to Azam FC.
