Chiellini staying with Juve until 2023 but Locatelli will be a challenge

Massimiliano Allegri continues to shape Juventus according to his wishes, but the work is still not done. The Italian tactician has managed the easy work, to extend Giorgio Chiellini to another two year deal, but his main work will be in midfield, where his sporting director is trying to bring in either Mauel Locatelli or Miralem Pjanic.Juventus’ most loyal soldier and commander of defense Giorgio Chiellini has became a free agent the same day as Leo Messi, but the Italian is now back where he has been for the last 17 years – in Juventus. Chiellini agreed a two year contract with the club, after a great performances in the recently finished EURO 2020, where he won the competition with Italy.“I am happy, even if it seems like a formality, these are important steps in life. I arrived here barely an adult and now I’m part of the family, a mature person who is enjoying every moment of the last years. I really hope that I can give my contribution and help this team to win more titles, which as we know here is the most important thing” said 37-year old defender to Juventus TV.Ufficiale | @chiellini ha rinnovato! #Chiellini2023— JuventusFC (@juventusfc) August 2, 2021 After this easy task, Allegri will try to finalize the deal for either Locatelli from Sassuolo or Pjanic from Barcelona. The Italian international is surely a better option, but Juve cannot agree a fee with Sassuolo, who won’t sell cheap their best player. So far, the club has rejected the proposal of a two-year loan with option to buy for a total 4.5 billion Ksh, since Arsenal is offering a lot more, but on the plus side, the player only wants Juventus and will reject any other club.Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t going anywhere, says Juventus head coach AllegriPjanic played his best football under Allegri during his last tenure with the club, and he could come relatively cheap, since Barca is desperate to offload a majority of players, especially with a big wage. According to reports from Italy, Juve won’t buy both players, unless they sell Aaron Ramsey, but for now, there are no suitors to pay his big wages, and after all, he was good in the preseason, according to Allegri himself.
