Wazito FC head coach Francis Kimanzi says his team has benefited from extra rest in the last one week and expects a good match when they take on Bidco United FC in a league match on Tuesday at the Thika Sub-County Stadium.Kimanzi’s charges were not involved over the weekend and their last league assignment was the 2-1 win over Mathare United a week ago in Thika. As other teams took to the pitch over the weekend, they rested and on Tuesday they take on Bidco who downed Western Stima 1-0 on Saturday.Speaking ahead of the match against Anthony Akhulia’s men, Kimanzi said his team has had enough time to rest after fixture congestion witnessed in the last few weeks and anticipates a good match against Bidco. Wazito came from behind to beat Bidco 2-1 in the first leg played at the Utalii Grounds in January 2021.“We’ve played so many games within a short time without sufficient rest, fortunately, we had some time to rest in this past week and we have benefited from that. Towards the end of the season, there’s a lot of excitement, players feel more comfortable and have confidence in themselves to play, teams get better and the match (against Bidco) is a very important match for us. I expect to see something better because the understanding and the confidence we have at the moment is better than we had when we played them in the first leg,” Kimanzi said in an exclusive interview with the club media. We will be in Thika tomorrow#Wazito4life pic.twitter.com/SN0PTQJTm8— WAZITO FOOTBALL CLUB (@wazitofc) August 2, 2021 Meanwhile, winger Kevin Kimani says the morale in the team is high after the extended break and foresees a good showdown on Tuesday.“It has been a good week with a lot of rest in it, the preparation has been good, the morale is high and we expect a good match tomorrow,” Kimani stated.
