Bidco United and Ulinzi Stars drew 1-1 at Thika Stadium to share the spoils to retain keep the single point gap between them intact.A goal apiece from Mark Bikokwa and Peter Nzuki in either half for Ulinzi and Bidco respectively ensured that the points were shared in the Thika early kick off.The visitors dictated play the entire first half, forcing Anthony Akhulia to dig into his bench and make three substitutions before the break.The trio of Emmanuel Mogaka, Nelson Chieta, and Alex Juma came on to replace Bhatts Awita, Stephen Waruru, and Hillary Shilaho.Ibrahim Shambi, getting a rare start, had to come off injured minutes later and his place taken by Elvis Nandwa.Ulinzi Stars drew first blood towards the end of the first half to lead into the break.Bikokwa, who has been on fine form since scoring his maiden league goal last month pounced on a John Njuguna cross and slotted home to give the Soldiers the advantage.On resumption, Ulinzi made their second change, resting Omar Boraafya for Clinton Omondi.A rejuvenated Bidco United kept pushing for the equalizer while Ulinzi sought for their second.12 minutes into the second half the , their efforts finally paid off for Bidco after one of their players was brought down prompting the referee to point to the spot.Nzuki stepped up to take the resultant penalty, striking the ball to the right but Saruni went the same way and punched them. Unfortunately the punch was not strong enough as Nzuki pounced on the rebound and slotted past Saruni to level the scores.That moment brought confusion with the referee cancelling the goal initially, then awarding the goal, then cancelling again, and awarding the goal finally.The scuffle lasted more than ten minutes, with Bidco getting the upper hand in the end as the goal was given, the teams were now level.Ulinzi Stars had a couple of chances to take the lead again but they could not slot the ball past the Bidco’s custodian.
