Kariobangi Sharks goalkeeper Brian Bwire Okoth is set to joins league leaders Tusker FC on a permanent deal, Sharks have confirmed.Tusker are currently beefing up their team ahead of the 2021/22 campaign where they will represent the country in the CAF Champions League. One of the areas that has let them down this campaign is the goalkeeping department and coach Robert Matano has decided to go for the Harambee Stars custodian.Bwire has not been featuring much for Sharks in recent months with coach William Muluya opting to juggle between Brandon Obiero and Brian Olang’o between the posts. He was part of the Kenya U23 that finished fourth at the Cecafa U23 Championship in Ethiopia.Sharks Linda Ambiyo has confirmed that they have reached an agreement in principle with the league leaders over the transfer of the custodian to the Ruaraka based club.“I can confirm that Bwire will be joining Tusker. A year later he joined Kariobangi Sharks as an understudy to John Oyemba. Injuries to Oyemba saw Bwire take over between the posts and when the experienced custodian left Sharks in 2020, Bwire took over at the official first-choice custodian.Tusker are also set to sign midfielder Teddy Osok who is currently unattached, Charles Momanyi who recently terminated his contract with Gor Mahia, Clyde Senaji whose contract with AFC Leopards expired, they are also interested in their former keeper Patrick Matasi who recently parted ways with St. George FC. The team is also set to beef up its forward line and they have been linked with a move for AFC Leopards’ Elvis Rupia.
