Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Nicholas Muyoti has come down heavily on his forward line in the wake of their back to back losses to outgoing champions Gor Mahia and Bandari.Homeboyz who prior to the two matches had netted six goals in two matches bowed to Gor and Bandari to thicken their plot of a top five finish. The youthful coach faulted the forwards for squandering clear cut chances in the two matches which he noted they created better and more than their opponents.”It is disappointing that we lost the two matches due to a goal shy forward. We played well in the two matches but we could not put the ball in the net. The losses especially against Bandari pained me considering that we were playing at home but we will work on the department before our next game, “he said.Full Time Not the best of returns to Bukhungu Homeboyz 1-2 Bandari Okoth D pic.twitter.com/QwmW6u5zfd— Kakamega Homeboyz FC (@FcHomeboyz) August 8, 2021 Despite being certain of top flight football next season, Muyoti challenged his players to take the three remaining matches as a final and finish the campaign on a winning note. The former AFC Leopards player cautioned their next opponent Tusker to anticipate for a tough game as the club will be seeking to bounce back to winning ways.Tusker desperately need to win their remaining three matches against Homeboyz, Nzoia Sugar and Bidco United so as to be crowned champions.Tuko vizuri kabsaaa Kick-Off vs Bandari 3 pm. #AbanaBeingo pic.twitter.com/rJgYoSYA7o— Kakamega Homeboyz FC (@FcHomeboyz) August 8, 2021 “I am not interested in the number of matches we have before the season ends or the number of points we will bag. My approach remains every game at a time. I have told my boys to take the three matches as finals. We play Tusker away and we it is a game we can not afford to drop points again,”said the former Thika United coach.
