Barely a day after shipping in Mali international Diarra Djigui, record Tanzanian champions Yanga have acquired the services of former Gor Mahia defensive midfielder Khalid Aucho.The burly midfielder joins Yanga after parting ways with Egyptian side Lttihad of Egypt who he joined in October last year after ending his year-long stay at Misr El-Makkasa.Yanga who have watched their bitter rivals Simba lay hands on the league four consecutive times have been busy in the transfer window and have thus far signed five new players.Apart from the Uganda Cranes midfielder , the Jangwani Boys have reunited with Heritier Makambo, Fiston Mayele, Diarra and Yusuph Athuman.Khalid Aucho is now 𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗡 AND 𝗬𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪🔰@aucho_khalid08 #TimuYaMwananchi #DaimaMbeleNyumaMwiko pic.twitter.com/I76usIgk22— Young Africans SC (@yangasc1935) August 9, 2021 Aucho made himself a name while plying his trade in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) where he began at Tusker in 2013 after leaving Simba Lugazi of Uganda.His breakthrough came when he switched to Gor in January 2015 as he was part of the dreaded squad that won the league without tasting defeat, a fear he capped with the midfielder of the year second runner up gong.After a successful stint at Gor, he went headed south albeit as a free agent after accepting an offer from Premier League Soccer side Baroka whom he joined in February 2017.His stay in South Africa was shortlived as he left the following year for Serbian side OFK Beograd who later loaned him out to Red Star Belgrade.The 28-year old ditched Red Star in July 2017 and would take a break from active football until East Bengal of India came calling in March the following year.He switched clubs in India within a short time as he joined Churchill Brothers SC where he stayed until July 2019.“Ninajivunia kuwa kijani na njano.
