Kenyan forward Anthony Wambani featured for Vasalund as they went down 2-0 to Göteborgs Atlet- och Idrottssällska (GAIS) in the Swedish Superettan with the loss leaving them in a precarious position.Midway through the season, Vasalund who earned promotion to the Swedish second tier at the start of the campaign find themselves battling relegation as they sit second from last with four points to safety.

Wambani was withdrawn at the start of the second half as Vasalund aimed to salvage something from the game after a torrid opening half.Lindberg squandered a chance to put the game to bed in the 66th minute as he failed to convert his spot kick, missing a chance to bag a brace in the game.Vasalund next face fellow relegation candidates Falkenbergs on Sunday 15 August.
