Kenya’s second most successful club, AFC Leopards, could be on the verge of losing another key player as various reports state that tricky winger Harrison Mwendwa is headed for the exit door after being linked with Zambian outfit Kabwe Warriors. After being used sparing in the first half of the 2020/2021 Football Kenya Federation Premier League season due to injuries coupled with being out of favour with former head coach Anthony ‘Modo’ KImani, the skillful speedy winger has rediscovered his mojo particularly in recent games for Ingwe where he has wreaked havoc on the flanks. In the club’s last game against Vihiga United, the diminutive winger produced a man of the match display in setting up all the three goals that Leopards scored in the match as they won the match 3-1. With the three assists, the former Mathare United player took his assists tally to a total of eleven, nine in the league and two in the cup competition.Kabwe Warriors target Harrison Mwendwa on why he has hit top form at the tail end of the #FKFPL season https://t.co/O8JX5Azjrr— Mozzart Sport Kenya (@MozzartSportKe) August 10, 2021 According to one report making rounds online, the player is said to be preparing his travel documents after reaching an agreement with Warriors who finished in fourth place in the 2020/2021 Zambian Super League to secure a slot in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.“Zambia’s CAF Confederation Cup representative Kabwe Warriors have reached an agreement with AFC Leopards forward Harrison Mwendwa.
