Aloro drooling for more goals after netting in back to back games

Having found the back of the net in two consecutive matches, Tusker centre back Rodgers Aloro has revealed his dream of adding two more from the remaining matches and help the club win the lift the league title. The Ugandan import scored Tusker’s consolation in their 2-1 defeat in the hands of Bandari last week and was on target last week when they came from a goal down to beat his former employer, Sofapaka 2-1 at the Ruaraka grounds. The defender said he was keen on building on the confidence gained from the two goals and add more from set pieces and guide the club to the 12th league crown. The brewers who have three matches remaining sit at the top of the log with 58 points, a tally similar to that of second placed KCB and will have to win all their remaining matches and at the same time pray that KCB slip if they are to achieve their target.Alorooooooooooooo!!!!! 1-1. Marita’s corner lands on Aloro unmarked at the edge of the box and the defender swings in a sweet volley into the net!! pic.twitter.com/tIPmsiIbgC— Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) August 7, 2021 Robert Matano’s charges play Kakamega Homeboyz, Nzoia Sugar and Bidco United in their remaining fixtures.“The pressure to score goals is intense for the forwards and we must help them shoulder the responsibility. We badly want to win the league and thus I have to play a role not only in defending but also scoring. I will be hoping to get at least two more goals in the remaining three matches,” he said.Ordinarily when players score against their former clubs but Aloro took a different route when he put the ball in Sofapaka’s net as he wheeled away in celebrations. Asked on his decision to celebrate the goal, he said he didn’t mean to disrespect the 2009 league champions.“I normally score goals from set pieces but the Sofapaka one came courtesy of being at the right place at the right time. I left the club more than two years ago and the celebrations do not mean that I have hard feelings towards them,” he said.
