Tusker chairman opens up on transfer plans

With the rights to represent the country in the forthcoming CAF Champion League vested on Tusker, the club chairman Daniel Aduda has confirmed that the management will break the bank and strengthen their squad ahead of their return to the continental scene.Tusker bagged the lucrative rights by virtue of topping the table by June 30, a deadline set by Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF PL) in line with orders from CAF. Aduda said his office will delve in the transfer market in strict adherence to the recommendations from the Robert Matano led technical bench. At the moment our focus is to play the remaining three matches of the season and fight to win the league. When the time comes we will make the additions in the team and that will be dependent on the advice from the technical bench who will tell us which are the weak areas that we need to strengthen,” he is quoted as saying by the club’s portal. Meanwhile, the administrator reiterated their commitment in ensuring that the team bags maximum points from the remaining three matches so as to toast the trophy.He implored on his players to give the hunt for the crown a final push and ensure they lift the title on August 22 when the season ends.“I am really proud of the players and what they have achieved so far. We have worked hard as a team straight from the management to the playing unit and despite the tough circumstances including the COVID-19 pandemic we have seen the team post good results. Now we have three more tough games remaining and it is upon us to do our best and win the remaining matches. The motivation and team spirit is high and I remain confident that we will be on top at the end of the season,” he added on their official portal.Tusker are facing off stiff competition from KCB who are breathing hard behind their backs.
