Kakamega Homeboyz forwards, Moses Mudavadi, and Christopher Masinza will not feature in the remaining matches of the 2020/21 campaign as they are set for a spell in the sideline through injury. Both players picked the injuries during the league match against Gor Mahia a fortnight ago and missed last weekend’s action against Bandari, a match they went down 1-2. Mudavadi’s injury looked bad after a collision with Gor keeper Samuel Njau and was rushed to hospital where he stayed for three days after suffering a concussion. Masinza, who replaced him picked a rib injury in the same match.Homeboyz assistant coach Bernard Mwalala has now confirmed that the pair will miss Friday’s league match against Tusker FC at Ruaraka Grounds and will not play any part in the remaining fixtures.Lakini Moses Mudavadi is talented. Ever since Kakamega Homeboyz were relegated went to Nsl and came back. His talent has been a constant. Today I am hearing he has done unmentionable things to Yanga.— El-Hadary (@RaphaelOmalla) June 3, 2018 “Mudavadi and Masinza are out for the rest of the season but we are grateful that they are doing well at the moment, they are not in any danger and are now on the recovery path,” he told Mozzart Sport.”Moses suffered a concussion and was in the hospital for three days, he is now out of the hospital and can walk without any support. Masinza hurt his rub, it’s not a fracture and he is under therapy. I think both players will not be involved again this season, the focus now is for them to recover fully and be ready for next season,” he added.Mudavadi in particular has endured a difficult season laden with injuries. The midfielder, who is Homeboyz’s longest-serving player has had an on-off season due to injuries that have derailed him.Homeboyz have lost their last two games to Gor and Bandari and in Tusker they face another tough opponent who could stretch their losing streak in the league to three games.
