The draw for the preliminary round of the 2021/2022 Caf Champions League and Caf Confederation Cup will be conducted on Friday 13th August in Cairo.Kenya will be represented by one team in each of the competitions. League leaders, who were awarded the CAF Champions League ticket by the virtue of being top in the league by 30th June will represent the country in the premier competition. In the CAF Confederation Cup, record league champions, Gor Mahia who won the FKF Cup will be waiting to learn of their opponents.Tusker last featured in CAF competitions in 2017 after winning the 2016 Kenyan Premier League title. They are; South Africa, Algeria, Angola, DR Congo, Egypt, Guinea, Morocco, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, and Zambia.Tanzania will be represented by Simba and Yanga in the CAF Champions League while Biashara United, coached by Kenyan coach Patrick Odhiambo and Azam FC will feature in the CAF Confederation Cup. Kenyan players based in Tanzania will be playing in the two competitions. Kennedy Muguna turns out for Azam FC while Joash Onyango is in Simba SC books.
