Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Nicholas Muyoti will prioritize strengthening his defense line when the transfer window swings open on Monday 23rd August.Homeboyz have shipped in six goals in the last three games, they have also lost in the last three outings with the latest being the 2-0 defeat in the hands of league leaders Tusker FC on Friday 13 August at the Ruaraka Grounds, the win also helped Tusker open a three-point gap at the top and are now edging closer to clinching the title. With two matches left before the season comes to a close, Muyoti is already thinking about next season’s campaign. He has disclosed that his backline will be a priority and he could bring on board up to four players. He is also eyeing a striker with the future of Allan Wanga, who has earlier announced that he would be bowing out at the end of the season on the balance.📷 | Second half action Tusker FC 2 Kakamega Homeboyz 0#TuskerVsHomeboyz#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/Aqp6rIaZ4B— FKF Premier League (@Officialfkfpl) August 13, 2021 “I think we first need to strengthen our defense because our defense has been leaking for a while now we will try as much as possible to beef it up and then look for a good striker because I think my midfield is quite okay, they try as much as possible to create those chances but the finishing has not been good,” Muyoti told Mozzart Sport. The former Kenyan international says he is keen on bringing on board two central defenders, and two fullbacks, on either side of his backline.”We are majorly talking about the central defense. We have good young players who have been doing well but we’ve had issues with injuries and we didn’t have the right continuity in defense and we will get two central defenders and maybe one or two fullbacks to make our backline stronger,” he added. Homeboyz have two matches left; they will play Vihiga United in midweek before ending the season with a match against AFC Leopards.
