DENNIS OLIECH CUP:Bragging rights and cash awards at stake as Bundes take on FIFA best in the final

Bragging rights and hefty cash awards will be at stake when FIFA Best FC and Bundes FC clash on Sunday at the Kenya School of Law, Karen in the Dennis Oliech Cup final. Best, who were laced with more than half a dozen players who ply their trade in the top flight cleared the semifinal hurdle by beating a highly-rated Dagoretti Hotstars by a solitary goal despite having numerical disadvantage after Jamal Edmundo was sent off.Bundes on the other hand edged Kibera based Mashimoni 1-0 in a hotly contested match to book a date with Best in the final.Ahead of the match, Bundes head coach Owen Kiunga says his charges are ready to silence Best and be crowned the champions of the Cup sponsored by the leading gaming firm Mozzartbet. With the final set to be littered with experienced players, Kiunga remained tight lipped on the identity and number of top flight players he had managed to convince to feature for his side.”We are ready to face Best in the final. We have worked on the areas which we were exposed in the semis and I am certain that we will win the Cup. I will have some senior players but i prefer their identity to be my secret until kickoff,” he said. His sentiments were backed by his goalkeeper Maxwell Mulili who doubles up as AFC Leopards fourth choice and former national U20 custodian.”We are ready to give our best and most importantly win the Cup. It is a match i want to keep a cleansheet,” said the former Kariobangi Sharks playerBest head coach Anthony Ndung’u on the other hand was also confident of laying hands on the trophy.
