Youthful Bandari centre back Hassan Iddi is hoping that the club will renew his contract before the 2021-2022 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) season kicks off.The defender is in the final six months of his deal sealed in 2018 from Zoo Youth and had come out to express his interest in remaining in the Dockers books for a longer period.Iddi who can be slotted in as a left-back found a new lease of life when the club shipped in Rwandese gaffer Andre Casa Mbungo in January to replace Kennedy Odhiambo who joined Sofapaka.Hassan Iddi, anakaba alafu kule mbele anafungua neti. The coach has been showing a lot of confidence in me which indicates that probably I am part of his long term plans,” he said. The former student at Barding High School who spend the better part of 2019 and last year on loan at National Super League side Coast Stima in the meantime revealed that he had come of age courtesy of rubbing shoulders with his seniors.Prior to his loan stint where he was sent alongside Dennis Magige, the youngster had unsuccessfully tried to break to the first team coached by league winning coach Paul Nkata while at Tusker. 53 | Amemchezea makosa Keegan Ndemi Aloro! I have been watching how the senior defenders have been conducting themselves on the pitch and at the same time learning lessons from them. I also thank all the coaches who have handled me from the time I left high school,” he added.
