Former AFC Leopards coach, Zapata leaves Mukura Victory

Former AFC Leopards head coach Rodolfo Zapata has parted ways with Rwandese side Mukura Victory, four months after joining the club, Mozzart Sport can exclusively reveal. Zapata penned a short term deal with the club in April, ending close to a year stay in the cold and was instrumental in aiding them to evade relegation in the past season. 📝 Desde #ATFA felicitamos a Rodolfo Zapata tras lograr su objetivo con el @MukuraVS y le deseamos lo mejor en lo que viene 💪🏼⚽️ #GestiónPasini pic.twitter.com/UjzPC65qkA— ATFA Oficial (@ATFA_OFICIAL) August 9, 2021 The Huye-based club which is chaired by the newly elected Federation Rwandaise de Football Association Oliver Mugabo settled on the stylish coach who is famed for winning the Botswana league with Township Rollers in 2019. The Argentine who joined the Den in April 2018 said that he left the club following the expiry of his contract and thanked the management for giving him the opportunity to tutor their playing unit. “My time at Mukura is over as my contract has elapsed. I am glad that I inspired the club to beat relegation and improve the players. I thank the club for giving me the chance to coach the team. There are a lot of good players who can succeed in Europe if they pass through the right hands. In the meantime, I am ready to work with any club in the region or the continent,” he added.
