Francis Kahata could be set for a sensational return to Gor Mahia after the side reached out to the club-less midfielder over a possible return to K’Ogalo’s fold.Kahata is currently a free agent after parting ways with Tanzanian champions Simba SC in June following the expiry of his two-year contract with the club. The club has been engaging him in talks over a possible return but his financial demands appear to be derailing negotiations. The midfielder is said to have demanded Ksh.2 million in signing fees that has to be paid before he inks the deal and a six-month salary advance.“Kahata is willing to rejoin the team and there have been talks between the two parties over a possible reunion. His demands however are a stumbling block and the club is still engaging him to see if an agreement can be struck soon to enable him rejoin the team,” a source from Gor’s camp told Mozzart Sport.Apart from Kahata, Gor are also interested in Posta Rangers defender, Elvis Osok who is a product of their youth team, Western Stima’s teen sensation, Rodgers Ouma, Wazito defenders Bernard Ochieng and Dennis Ng’ang’a, Vihiga United midfielder Stewart Omondi, AFC Leopards captain Robinson Kamura and two foreign strikers.They have already parted ways with Kenneth Muguna and Charles Momanyi.
