Richard Odada had more than a decent performance tonight in another Serbian Super League game. However, it wasn’t enough for his side Metalac to clinch at least a point in a home game against Vozdovac, who deservedly won 1-0.A young Kenyan international – who recently received his first call up for the Harambee Stars – started the match and was subbed after 70 minutes. Obviously well adapted to his new surroundings, Odada looked confident on the pitch.Serbia-based midfielder Richard Odada finally earns a call up to the Senior National team Harambee Stars for upcoming fixtures against Rwanda & Uganda. Odada was just a second late and, instead of the ball, he put his foot firmly on opponents leg which was immediately sanctioned by the match officials.Still, it didn’t hurt Odada’s concentration nor determination, so we saw him even in offensive action near the half-time break. It was a long-range effort that went wide, but the 20-year-old recevied nothing but applause from his coach Zarko Lazetic.Odada starts again for Metalac, but still no win for the Kenyan internationalThe only goal of the game came in the second half, but it’s fair to say our defender wasn’t involved in it, and was not to blame for it. The visitors struck from the counter-attack and made the most of their finest chance, unlike Metalac, whose forwards struggled to score from the close range in several occasions.Young Odada came off after 70 minutes, while his teammates failed to get back and earn a draw that would keep them away from the relegation zone.
