Among those who could fill the void left by the attacker is John Makwata who has been training with Ingwe for the last few days. Coincidentally, when Rupia joined Leopards in January 2020, he was acquired as a replacement for Makwatta who had left for Zesco United in Zambia.“Rupia will leave after Sunday’s game against Kakamega Homeboyz, he already has an agreement in place with Tusker and he will be unveiled as a new Tusker player next week. Leopards are currently looking for his replacement and of course, Makwatta is an option although his demands are a little higher,” a source from the den told Mozzart Sport. In an earlier interview, Rupia had downplayed the rumors surrounding his future saying he was a Leopards player. ‘I am an Ingwe property until further notice,” the attacker told the Daily Nation.⭐|Elvis Rupia of @AFCLeopards is your Man of the Match#KCBvsAFC pic.twitter.com/5sPqTAapKX— FKF Premier League (@Officialfkfpl) August 18, 2021 Tusker has been on a recruitment spree in readiness for next season’s CAF Champions League.
