Gor Mahia has parted ways with their two foreign strikers Jules Ulimwengu of Burundi and South Sudanese forward Tito Okello heading into the 2021/22 campaign that kicks off in a month’s time. The two were not involved in the final match of the season against Nzoia Sugar with reports indicating that they had boycotted the match over unpaid dues. Gor had four players on the bench for that game, two of them goalkeepers. The club has now confirmed that the pair have left the team. According to club Secretary-General Sam Ochola, the two have exited to pave way for the arrival of three strikers who he says will help them reclaim the league title next season and also perform well in the CAF Confederation Cup.“All foreign strikers including Ulimwengu and Tito have exited. We are signing three super strikers who will help us reclaim the league title. Our focus is on the continental matches and we are in the process of signing three lethal strikers,” Ochola told Nairobi News.South Sudanese striker, Tito Okello has announced that he will leave Gor Mahia at the end of the season. Okello joined Gor in August 2020 from Vipers SC of Uganda.Overall he’s not a bad player but some of his misses can be scary.#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/kjcp277l6b— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) August 17, 2021 The pair’s departure takes the number of players who have left Gor Mahia to five.
