In a modern football era, the transfer and wage sums, along with agents fees are getting bigger by the day, and no one seems to care anymore (apart from the clubs accountants). But Mino Raiola managed to surprise even the wealthiest people. The (in)famous agent of Haaland, Ibrahimovic and Pogba (to name just a few) tried to push the limits (if there are any) with his wage and agent fee demands while recently speaking to Chelsea about his current precious jewel: Erling Haaland.🚨🌖| Mino Raiola demanded wages of 50 million euros per year for Real Madrid target, Erling Braut Haaland from Chelsea this summer, in addition to 40 million euros agent fees.@cfbayern #rmalive— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) August 25, 2021 The Norwegian is such a powerful player that all the major football clubs were willing to break the bank in order to sign the player ahead of everybody. Or at least they thought so, until they heard Raiola’s demands. It is not known what sums did he asked when he was speaking with Barcelona and Real, but German ‘Bild’ managed to find out what was spoken during the Chelsea meeting in April, and the sums are staggering: 123 million Ksh weekly wage, and 5 billion Ksh for himself, as an agent fee! Unfortunately, Bild didn’t manage to find out what was Chelsea’s officials first reaction to that sum, but it’s safe to say that they didn’t called him back since. Instead, they signed a powerful, Premier League proven Romelu Lukaku, who signed for a 32 million Ksh weekly wage. (6.25) WBA (3.90) ARSENAL (1.50)It is now clear why Dortmund chiefs were so relaxed during the summer. They just knew that Riola’s lust would ruin any possible deal for Haaland in 2021. On January 2022, under the contract between the Norwegian and Borussia, his 10 billion Ksh release clause kicks in, and maybe, with a smaller transfer fee, there will be a club crazy enough to accept Riola’s demands. According to British press, Manchester United are now leading the race to sign Haaland next summer. The Norwegian, who scored a staggering 41 goals in 41 matches last season, has close ties to United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after their time at Molde in Norway.Borussia’s secret plan: Raise Haaland’s release clause by 2 billion KshOne of the few people who is probably not surprised with Raiola’s demands is former Aston Villa CEO Keith Wyness, who recently spoked to the British press and shared impressions from his first meeting with Raiola: “I always laugh because Mino got on the phone with me the first day and said ‘for me it’s not about football, it’s all about the money. I just want to make as much money as possible’. At least he was honest. He asked for £90k a week for Abel Hernandez” said Wyness. In case you wonder what happened, Hernandez never got to Aston Villa but signed for CSKA Moscow instead in 2018. And guess what, he came to Russia as a free agent, after failing to agree terms with his club at the time, Hull. He offered every proposal they gave him and walked off as a free agent. A typical Raiola tactics.
